New Project Launch: The Leicestershire Fixers Toolkit
June 10, 2026
We’re excited to share that Leicestershire County Council has secured funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver a new project – the Leicestershire Fixers Toolkit.
This 12‑month project will support repair cafés and community fixer groups across Leicestershire, helping them to grow, connect, and repair more items that might otherwise go to waste.
As part of the project, we’ll be developing an online toolkit offering practical advice, resources, and support for both existing groups and communities interested in starting their own repair events. This will include guidance, access to training, and a shared tool library to help groups get up and running and continue to thrive.
Repair groups play an important role in reducing waste, saving residents money, and bringing people together — and this project aims to make it easier for more communities across the county to get involved.

We’ll be sharing updates as the Leicestershire Fixers toolkit project develops. In the meantime, if you’re part of a voluntary, community or social enterprise fixer/repair group — or thinking about starting one — and you’d like to register an interest in the Leicestershire Fixers Toolkit project, we’d love to hear from you.
