Leicestershire Waste Management Partnership

Welcome!

Picture of Partnership Chairman, Councillor RushtonAs Chairman of the Leicestershire Waste Partnership, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website.

Here you will be able to find out more about the Partnership and the role it has in Leicestershire.

Leicestershire’s local authorities, the seven District and Borough councils and the County Council, aim to progress sustainable waste management in the County, through joint working and co-operation.

Leicestershire has a recycling performance to be proud of, but we recognise that we need to improve further. We’re implementing the Leicestershire Municipal Waste Management Strategy 2006, which provides a framework for us to meet our targets up to 2020 and beyond. Further information can be found on our Policies page.

You can also find out about recent activities in the News & Events page, learn more about the Partnership Food Waste collection trials, and read about some of the Projects in Leicestershire.

I hope that you enjoy your visit to the website- if you require any further information about the Partnership, please contact us using the details at the foot of the page.
