The clever people from Transition Loughborough have arranged for a repair café at Fearon Hall.
A team of volunteer repairers, sewing experts and tinkerers will be offering up their skills and reviving broken & non-functioning items brought in by members of the public and doing their best to fix them up, or give advice on how to do it yourself.
Repairs are made on a best effort basis and are free, though Transition welcome donations to help cover costs.
The repair café aims to keep items which might otherwise get thrown away in use.
Refreshments are available while you wait to see a volunteer repairer, and if you stay until the end of the session, the Utilise food waste café will open up shortly afterwards.
