Jeans are a staple of many wardrobes, but they often come with a high cost both for the consumer and the environment. If your denim has seen better days and is beyond reasonable repair as a wearable garment (at least in public), or if your jeans simply don’t fit you properly – this course is for you. You’ll learn how to reuse your fabric to make a range of useful and beautiful items which not only helps to keep your denim out of the bin, but which also gives / helps you to develop you a life-long skill which you can apply to other garments and fabrics in the future.
This course runs for 5 weeks on Wednesdays 12:30 till 2:30pm. The course starts on 21st April 2021 and finishes on 19th May 2021.
Some experience of using sewing machines is desirable, but please do enquire if you are a beginner / you aren’t sure if your skills are adequate – We aim to be welcoming!
Please also bring with you some old jeans or other denim fabric that you intend to reuse / might otherwise throw away.
