Waste Analysis Results
A comprehensive all-season waste compositional analysis has been commissioned and completed on behalf of the Leicestershire Waste Partnership. The study captured materials from both kerbside (residual, recyclables and compost) and Recycling Household Waste Sites (residual).
In order to maximise efficiency in both cost and time, a representative target sample was established from Leicestershire’s population using ACORN (socio economic) sampling methodology and sought to understand the composition of each waste stream over time.
The final report will inform the future waste long term procurement project as well as each Partner authority’s development of recycling schemes.

Discounted Compost Bins!
Residents in Leicestershire can take advantage of fantastic offers on compost bins starting at just £17. Partnership authorities are working with the Recycle Now campaign to offer bins to residents at a greatly reduced cost.
Through the scheme, residents can choose between three different sizes and styles:
- Compost Converter 220ltr - £17
- Compost Converter 330ltr (opposite) - £20
- KOMP 250ltr - £40

For a limited period of time, Leicestershire residents can take advantage of huge discounts on food digesters and compost bins. Included in the sale is the KOMP 250ltr compost bin, which residents can purchase for just £29.95 - that's even cheaper than the bins available through the Recycle Now scheme (above).
