Recycling Activities

Activity One - The Recycling Loop Activity

The idea of this activity is to get pupils thinking about what happens to waste once it is sent for recycling.

A talk will be given on why we need to recycle and how each material goes through a process so it can be turned into something new. Images will be displayed to show children how the recycling process works.

Pupils will then be given an activity to do which will require them to place picture cards in the correct order for a particular recycling process.

The pupils will then be asked to choose a material which can be recycled and to list products that their chosen material can be turned into.
