Green Office Week – 9th to 14th May

May 1, 2016

Green Office Week is an annual awareness raising event aiming to get employees and employers to make small changes in the workplace for the benefit of the environment.

The theme for 2016 is celebrating the efforts of green workplaces (it doesn’t have to be an office) across the UK. There are tips and resources on topics ranging from rewarding positive change, to having a waste free lunchtime on the official Green Office Week website.

Did you know:  Leicestershire County Council only uses recycled paper in its offices, is partly powered by solar panels, uses a biomass boiler to heat County Hall, and composts over one tonne of organic waste from its premises each month. These waste and energy saving measures also cut costs and save money.
