Excess chocolate left over from Easter?

April 1, 2016

Unbelievably, 30,000 tonnes of sweets and chocolates are thrown away each year in the UK.

If you have chocolate leftover from Easter and are wondering what to do with it, here’s some inspiration:

  1. Freeze it – Chocolate can be frozen for at least a year giving you plenty of time to eat it at your leisure, or give it away next Easter.
  2. Bake with it – Most things taste better with chocolate on top. These things can be easily given away or sold for charity if you can’t eat them yourself. Here’s a recipe for inspiration
  3. Drink it – The best hot chocolate is made with…. chocolate. Warm some milk in a pan and add your chocolate. Stir until melted and then serve.
